Whether you're throwing a spinner bait for largemouth on Steges or fishing surface lures for Hybrid Stripers on Sunrise, the action is sure to be hot! Eldred Preserve was written up in Sports Afield (January, 1992) as one of the 25 super places to fish in the United States. Our 16' bass boats are equipped with aerated live wells, swivel seats, raised casting decks, and electric trolling motors. Boat rentals are $80.00 for two persons, for an pre set 8 hour day. Operating schedule varies with season. Reservations are required.
The Eldred Preserve has been fortunate to offer two entirely different lakes for your bass fishing experience. Sunrise lake is a deep, 65 acre clear water lake that has virtually no surface structure but is loaded with large and small mouth bass, some hybrid stripers, plenty of crappie, perch, pickerel, and panfish. Bass are strictly catch and release using artificial lures only. Steges lake is a more typical bass looking fishery. Loaded with fallen trees, submerged in shallow, murky water, Steges lake is sure to offer a challenge to even the most seasoned bass fishermen. Our
Bass - N - Crash mid-week package is taylored for those who would like
to stay overnight the night before and fish with a boat the next
morning. This package is offered from Sunday thru Thursday night and
costs $125.00 plus tax for two people.
